Salvation By Grace Through Faith

September 3, 2025

What must I do to be saved? That question, asked by the Philippian jailer in Acts 16, is still the most important question anyone could ever ask. In this week’s study from our This Is The Church series, we’ll open Scripture together to see God’s clear answer. Salvation is not something we earn by good works or religious effort—it is a gift of grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ alone.

Key Points:
The Problem of Sin – Why every person needs salvation
God’s Provision in Christ – His love demonstrated on the cross
Salvation is by Grace, Not Works – A free gift from God
Salvation Through Faith in Christ Alone – The only way to God
The Result of Salvation – Forgiveness, assurance, and eternal life
At the heart of Christianity is this simple but life-changing truth: all have sinned, all need a Savior, and God has provided that Savior in Jesus Christ. The gospel is not about what we do for God, but about what God has done for us. Salvation is by grace, through faith, in Christ alone—and it is available to anyone who calls upon His name. As believers, we can rest in the assurance of eternal life and the confidence of God’s promises. As the church, we are called to share this good news with a world still asking, “What must I do to be saved?”
