Eternal Security: Once Saved, Always Saved
September 10, 2025
Many believers wrestle with this question: Can I lose my salvation? Some denominations teach that salvation can be lost if a believer doesn’t remain faithful enough. Others fear that if they sin too much or stumble in their walk, God might take His salvation away. But Scripture is clear: when God saves someone, He keeps them saved. Our security isn’t based on our performance—it’s grounded in God’s promise, Christ’s finished work, and the sealing of the Holy Spirit.
In this Bible study, we’ll see how eternal security is rooted in God’s unchanging Word, guaranteed by the cross, and sealed by the Spirit until the day of redemption. We’ll also answer common objections to give clarity and confidence in what the Bible actually says.
Key Points:
- Eternal security rests on God’s faithfulness, not our faithfulness.
- Eternal security flows from the finished work of Christ alone.

So, can a Christian lose their salvation? No—because salvation is God’s work from beginning to end. The Father holds us securely, the Son’s sacrifice covers us completely, and the Spirit seals us until the day of redemption. Eternal security doesn’t give us license to sin—it gives us freedom to live with joy, gratitude, and faithfulness to Christ.
