Jesus Prayed for You

December 14, 2025

Before the cross, before the resurrection, and before the church ever existed, Jesus prayed. But in John 17, His prayer goes beyond Himself and the disciples standing in front of Him. Jesus lifts His voice for every believer who would one day come to faith through the gospel — including us. What He prayed reveals what matters most to Him for His people: unity, love, glory, and an eternal relationship with Him. This prayer reminds us that our faith is not accidental, our place in God’s family is intentional, and our lives are being carried by the intercession of Christ Himself.

• Before you ever trusted Jesus, Jesus was already praying for you.
• Our faith exists because the gospel was faithfully carried to us.
• We are one because we belong to the same Savior.
• Unity in Christ is not optional — it is expected and purposeful.
• Our unity becomes evidence to the world that Jesus was sent by the Father.
• We are complete in Christ, not in ourselves.
• The Father loves His people with the same love He has for His Son.
• Jesus wants His people with Him so they can behold His glory.
• Heaven is not only rest — it is revelation.
• You are living inside a prayer Jesus already prayed, and God has already answered.

Jesus did not pray vaguely or generally for His people — He prayed intentionally, personally, and confidently. He prayed that we would be united in Him, marked by love, secured by truth, and ultimately brought into His presence to see His glory. Our lives are not being held together by chance, effort, or strength, but by the prayer of a Savior who never stops interceding. If Jesus has prayed for us, and the Father has answered, then we can live with assurance, unity, and hope — knowing that nothing Jesus prayed for will ever go unanswered.
