No Turning Back

In today’s message, we dive deep into John 6:56-71 to explore some of the most pivotal questions Jesus asks His followers. These timeless questions challenge us to examine the foundation of our faith and our commitment to following Him. Jesus’ words often challenge our logic and comfort zones. Are we willing to trust Him even when life doesn’t make sense? John 6:60-63 reminds us that His truth is unchanging, even when it’s hard to hear. As seen in John 6:64-66, not everyone who follows Jesus stays with Him. True faith isn’t revealed in moments of ease but in moments of difficulty. Are we following Jesus for what He can do for us, or are we committed to staying, even when the road is hard? In John 6:67-69, Peter’s bold response, “Lord, to whom shall we go? Thou hast the words of eternal life,” reminds us that Jesus alone can truly save and satisfy. Have you made the personal decision to fully trust Him? Through the example of Judas (John 6:70-71), we see that being physically close to Jesus doesn’t guarantee a surrendered heart. Don’t settle for outward proximity—pursue a deep, transforming relationship with Him.

Reflection Questions:
Can you trust Jesus’ words, even when they challenge your understanding or comfort?
Are you building your life on God’s unchanging truth or conforming to the world’s shifting opinions?
Are you following Jesus only when it’s easy, or are you committed to staying with Him no matter what?
Are you outwardly near Jesus but inwardly distant?
Join us as we reflect on the ultimate question: Will we also go away, or will we declare, like Peter, that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God?
