Peace In A World Of Trouble
November 30, 2025
Have you ever had a season where you genuinely trusted God, yet you couldn’t understand what He was doing? You were praying, trying to stay faithful, doing everything you knew to do—and still nothing seemed clear. Your heart wanted to follow Jesus, but your mind couldn’t see how everything was going to work out. That’s exactly how the disciples felt in John 16. They loved Jesus and wanted to follow Him, but His words confused them. In the middle of their uncertainty, Jesus offers some of His most personal and powerful teaching before the cross—truth we desperately need today.
Key Points:
– The sorrow of the cross will become the source of their everlasting joy.
– Our prayers go straight to the Father through the Son.
– You cannot walk in the joy of the Lord if you are not talking to the Lord.
– The Father Himself has chosen to set His love on you.
– When your strength fails, it is the Father that will hold you together.
– True peace is only found in Jesus.
You are an overcomer because His victory has become your victory.
Jesus never promised a life without trouble, but He did promise a peace that is stronger than any trouble you will ever face. Through the cross, sorrow becomes joy. Through prayer, you have direct access to the Father. Through His love, you stand secure even when life feels unsteady. And through His victory, you can walk confidently as an overcomer. Whatever you face today, the One who has overcome the world walks with you.
Key Scriptures: John 16:16–33, Jeremiah 31:3, 1 John 4:19
