After healing the lame man at the Beautiful Gate, Peter boldly proclaimed that Jesus Christ—not Peter or John—was the source of the miracle. He confronted the crowd with the truth that they had rejected and crucified their promised Messiah. But Peter's message did not end with condemnation. It continued with an invitation to grace.
In this message from Acts 3:17–26, we see that God's grace does not overlook sin or excuse guilt. Instead, it lovingly confronts us with the truth so that we might repent and turn to Christ. Peter calls Israel to respond to the One they had rejected, reminding them that conviction is meant to lead to repentance, and repentance always requires a response.

The same invitation remains today. Whether you have never trusted Christ or you are a believer whom God is convicting, hearing the truth is not enough. God calls us to respond in faith and obedience.

Key Points:
– Grace does not ignore guilt. It gives guilty people another opportunity to respond.
– True repentance does not merely feel conviction. It responds to it.
– When God confronts us with truth, He is calling for a response.
– Repentance is more than recognizing that something is wrong. It is responding to God and turning from it.
– Knowing the Scriptures is not enough if we refuse the Christ they point us to.
– A person can be surrounded by truth their whole life and still never personally turn to Christ.
– When God confronts us with truth, we must turn to Christ.
– God's grace is greater than our guilt, but grace always calls for a response.

As you listen to this message, consider what God may be revealing in your own heart. Don't confuse conviction with conversion or hearing with obedience. Respond to the truth, trust in Jesus Christ, and experience the forgiveness and hope that only He can give.

Key Scriptures: Acts 3:17–26, Luke 23:34, Deuteronomy 18:15
