The Betrayer at the Table
The betrayal of Jesus wasn’t a surprise. It was part of God’s sovereign plan. Yet even knowing it was coming, Jesus felt the weight of it deeply. In this powerful message from John 13:18–30, “The Betrayer at the Table,” we walk through one of the most sobering moments in Scripture: the moment when darkness entered the room and one disciple chose to turn away from the Light of the world. Through Judas’ story, we’re reminded of the danger of empty religion, the cost of sin, and the unshakable faithfulness of God’s promises.

Key Points:
– Every prophecy fulfilled anchors our faith in God’s plan.
– Pretending to follow Jesus is the easiest way to betray Him.
– Judas was close to Jesus, but never surrendered. John surrendered, and it changed everything.
– Walking away from Jesus will leave you lost in the dark.
– Sin will always take you further than you intended to go and cost you more than you ever thought you’d pay.
– Judas’ story is heartbreaking, but it’s also a warning and an invitation.
God’s Word reminds us that proximity to Jesus isn’t the same as surrender to Jesus. Religion without relationship leads to darkness, but surrender leads to life. Every fulfilled prophecy is proof that God’s plan cannot be stopped, and if He can be trusted with eternity, He can be trusted with your life today.
