The Judgement Seat of Christ
After the Rapture, believers will stand before Christ—not for condemnation, but for accountability. The Judgment Seat of Christ will test our works, revealing what was done for eternity and what was wasted. Understanding these events should motivate us to live faithfully now, ensuring that when we stand before Him, we do so with confidence, not regret.
Key Points:
– The Threefold Judgment of the Believer refers to the three distinct ways in which a believer is judged: Past—at the Cross, where sin was fully paid for; Present—as a child of God, experiencing self-examination and discipline for spiritual growth; and Future—as a servant, standing before Christ at the Judgment Seat to receive rewards or lose them based on faithfulness in this life.
– Many Christians fear standing before God as if their eternal salvation is in question. But for believers, this judgment is already settled. What we face at the Judgment Seat of Christ is not a judgment of sin, but of service.
– Many believers invest their lives in earthly success, but in the end, only what is done for Christ will stand at the Judgment Seat. The question is not how much we achieved here, but how much we invested in eternity.
Key Scriptures:
John 5.24, 1 Corinthians 11.31-32, 2 Corinthians 5.10, 1 Corinthians 3.11-15, James 1.12, Revelation 2.10, 1 Peter 5.2-4, 1 Thessalonians 2.19-20, Philippians 4.1, 1 Timothy 4.8, 1 Corinthians 9.25-27, 1 John 2.28
Key Question:
Are we examining our lives daily? The more self-judgment we do now, the less chastisement we will face. If we refuse to correct our course, God will do it for us.
