The Path to Peace
October 26, 2025
Last week, we stood in the upper room as Jesus spoke peace into anxious hearts. This week, we return there again, where Jesus turns the disciples’ focus from His physical presence to the promise of His spiritual presence through the Holy Spirit. In this powerful passage, Jesus reveals the true path to peace: a life of love that leads to obedience, obedience that invites His presence, and presence that produces peace. Join us as we walk through John 14:15–31 and discover that peace isn’t found in the absence of trouble, but in the presence of the Spirit who lives within us.
Key Points:
– Love is not measured by emotion but by obedience.
– The Holy Spirit is not a substitute for Jesus — He is the very presence of Jesus living within us.
– Faith sees what eyes cannot.
– Love for Jesus is not proven by what we say but how we obey.
– God doesn’t just visit His people — He makes a home inside them.
– Love leads to obedience. Obedience brings presence. Presence produces peace.
– That’s the promise of Jesus — if you walk in His love and live in His presence, you’ll rest in His peace.
True peace isn’t found in perfect circumstances — it’s found in the perfect presence of Jesus through the Holy Spirit. When we love Him, obey Him, and walk with Him, His peace fills our hearts and steadies our souls no matter what we face.
