What does it look like when spending time with Jesus truly changes a life? In Acts 4:13-22, Peter and John stand boldly before the same religious leaders who opposed Christ. The council cannot deny the miracle standing in front of them, and they cannot explain the courage of these ordinary men except for one unmistakable reality: they had been with Jesus.When they are commanded to stop speaking in His name, Peter and John refuse to let fear silence their witness.

– You do not have to impress people for them to see Jesus in you.
– A changed life is the clearest evidence that we have been with Jesus.
– Some people do not reject Jesus because there is no evidence. They reject Him because they do not want to face the truth.
– Fear of consequences must never become an excuse for disobedience to Christ.
– Being with Jesus produces a life that eventually cannot keep Jesus to itself.

Peter and John were ordinary men whose lives had been transformed by an extraordinary Saviour. Their time with Christ changed how they spoke, how they handled pressure, and how they responded when obedience came with a cost. The same should be true of us. If Jesus has changed our lives, we ought to have something to say about Him. The question is not simply whether people know we go to church. Can they tell that we have been with Jesus?
